希望不要太爛Gag(英文:Bad pun,或 Dry humour)

Why do I have six monitors? Because I don’t have room for eight.

Why are video games so much better designed than office software? Because people who design video games love to play video games. People who design office software look forward to doing something else on the weekend.

Code is like humor. When you have to explain it, it’s bad.

Monitoring is a means, not an end

Monitoring is a means, not an end
Does it really have to be perfect?

Complexity is never free. Every alert you create, every dashboard, every metric, every log line, every trace span and every if statement has a cost.

So when designing, improving, or even just tweaking your monitoring, always consider if a simpler solution might make more sense overall.

No one can have a cake and eat it too

No one can have a cake and eat it too, but it does not mean we cannot have a half and eat a half.

[bookdown: Authoring Books and Technical Documents with R Markdown] :
Can we focus on writing the content without worrying too much about typesetting? There seems a natural contradiction between content and appearance, and we always have to balance our time spent on these two aspects. No one can have a cake and eat it too, but it does not mean we cannot have a half and eat a half. We want our book to look reasonably pretty, and we also want to focus on the content. One possibility is to give up PDF temporarily, and what you may have in return is a pretty preview of your book as HTML web pages
